Cours de design fiction à l'ULiège

J'ai été invitée à l'Université de Liège en décembre 2022 pour donner un cours d'introduction au design fiction aux étudiant·es du programme en éducation aux médias.
Titre de l'intervention : Exploring Possible Future Worlds with the Practice of Design Fiction
Résumé : This session will introduce participants to design fiction, a design practice that uses narrative structures to imagine the world of tomorrow. At the intersection between speculative design and science fiction, this practice encourages designers to consider the societal implications of their creations in the imagined future society. In the context of media education, design fiction offers a reflexive approach which makes it possible to question the role of media and technology in society from practice itself. Based on classroom activities using design fiction, the session will discuss the use of speculation as a means of critical distancing from the media.
